They say variety is the spice of life. Well, maybe.
I've just done an interesting experiment. I looked all listings on Etsy for 'Roman glass necklace.
The one pictured here is mind. It's listed for $85.00 and is strung on 14k gold filled triple strand chain.
I found that there are currently, as of today,
262 listings for Roman Glass Necklace. Of course there are many styles. But the price range is a bit astounding.
Highest price listed was a whopping $1500.00.
Lowest price was an incredible $15.00.
Now, that's quite a range for similar materials, don't you think?

I wish there was a way to search sold items on easy, like you can on eBay. It would be interesting to see which price point of a certain item sells the most. Thanks for sharing. :-)
You can look up sold items on etsy, but you can't see the price. But since there's no bidding on etsy, you can check the person's shop to find a similar item.
Can you look and see how long an item has been up for sale? That's one way to see what price range is selling.
Claire, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of stone is the one you'be used in this necklace? I love it looks so unusual.

jagfan,
Yes, you can see how long an item has been up for sale...the listing date is on the listing in the shop front. But don't go by that to judge what price range is selling. I don't think there's a way to do that. As I said in another comment, people who purchase one of a kind, handmade jewelry aren't usually looking at price alone. And there are customers for every price range.
Some people are limited in what they can spend, but not everyone.
Some people look for 'bargains' and go for the lower prices, but then they usually get what they pay for.
Others simply look for something that captures them and if they like it, they purchase it.
